"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, I refuse to "look on and do nothing." How about you? Join me in this... "Project to Restore America" <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> (Feel free to bypass the commentary below by clicking here to immediately jump to our "Schedule" page where you can see what videos are playing on what date and even view online the videos on our schedule. The current schedule, due to time constraints, has been updated through August 23, 2011. Check back regularly as this schedule is updated and expanded on an as-needed basis.) (A survey has been added to this page as we're interested in learning more about those who visit here. So please consider returning regularly to this page to participate in the surveys. And don't forget to check out the ever-growing list of documentaries that can be viewed online. Go here to view them.) <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> It seems to us that as long as there is a United States of America and those here that have any fight left in us, we need to do our utmost to inform our fellow Americans about what's happening. (Even Christians should be involved in this process. See Pastor Chuck Baldwin's article titled "Romans 13 Revisited.") "But how?" you ask. Good question, what with the seeming lack of interest by the vast majority of our fellow Americans in what's going on in the United States and what will likely happen to the United States. Nonetheless, we think the first thing that has to happen is get people to realize that the mainstream media (aka, the MSM) is not the friend of Liberty. The sooner our fellow Americans choose to feed their intellect with something worthy of such intelligence and, more importantly, the privilege of living in the United States of America, the better...for America, that is. To start things out, at least for those in and around Owatonna, we will be screening numerous documentaries on all sorts of relevant subjects. And in light of our earlier statement of the MSMs non-interest in holding up their end of things as the "Fourth Estate," we think it entirely appropriate to start such a cinematic undertaking with documentaries that speak to the Media. (Go here, here and here for a few more articles about the failure of the "Fourth Estate" to do its job.) Now, given that we're located in Owatonna, MN, it's obviously not possible for the vast majority of those who visit this page to actually attend the screenings. Nevertheless, we're hopeful that the documentaries listed here will inspire those not local to Owatonna to obtain the documentaries for themselves or otherwise view them online via the link associated with each documentary, as can be seen on our schedule. (You may also check out the various genres for which we have documentaries and that we'll be getting to as time goes by; so much material and so little time....) The location, days and times for our local screenings have been finalized but are subject to change. At this time our screenings are the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month from 7 to 9PM at "The Roost," located at 3052 SE 54th Ave., Owatonna, MN. Click here for a map and directions, here for a look at our weather (current and historical) and here for current road conditions (Owatonna is in Steele County.). The agenda for each screening is rather straightforward: start at 7:00 sharp with some brief opening comments about that night's documentary and then a quick look ahead to upcoming screenings, viewing of that night's documentary (documentaries will generally be from 60-90 minutes in length) followed by some closing comments and a discussion period up until we shut down for the evening at 9:00. We've created a (.pdf) flyer that we'll be using to post in various locations in around Owatonna (even beyond, if possible!). We could really use lots of people to help us get the word out about this effort.
Surely most of us can think of at least one place we go to regularly that has a bulletin board or the like where this flyer would look awesome! Please print out this flyer (in full color, if possible) and then commit to posting at least one flyer in the appropriate spot at some place within your sphere of influence. And, speaking of your sphere of influence, please invite at least one person (relative, neighbor, co-worker, friend) to attend our screenings. This effort, and whatever subsequent movement may arise from it, will grow only if more of those around us learn what we will learn. By the way, if you do post one or more flyers please do let us know so someone else doesn't duplicate your efforts. So, the bottom line is that this web site is to serve as somewhat of an "Announcement Board" for our screenings as well as a resource for others who may have an interest in either obtaining documentaries or, perhaps, starting their own "Documentary Club," as it were. It would thrill us tremendously to find that this model actually accomplishes its goal, both through the documentaries screened here as well as those viewed online, and through the efforts of others to do the same thing where they are. By the way, the fact that a documentary and/or topic appears on a list here does not necessarily imply we believe any or all of said documentary/topic, much less actually endorse it. "Truth," however, can be had from just about anywhere and since what we're after is "truth," we'll take it from just about anywhere we can get it, even if we have to watch a 90-minutes-long documentary to get that one little morsel of it. Also, if you have suggestions for documentaries or think you might be interested in assisting with this web page, we'd love to hear from you. You may also call us by clicking the graphic below. First, click on it, then enter the phone number from which you're calling and then press the "Enter" key on your keyboard. The phone number you entered will be dialed. Answer the call and then simply wait a few moments for the system to route your call through to "The ProToReAm Initiative." That's it for now. We'll be posting relevant updates here so, again, please check back over time. And feel free to share with others what we're trying to accomplish here. In fact, perhaps there are others who are doing this very thing, or at least something similar. The experiences of others would be most welcome. P.S. During our years of political activism we have partnered with and gleaned information from numerous organizations: news, activism, watchdog, oversight, etc. And certainly the Internet has allowed for an unprecedented level of awareness. Understanding that we've not always agreed with all that our sources have said, we find it more palatable to discard "excess" information that is either unnecessary or useless than to not have enough information in the first place. It is with that reality in mind that we offer here a list of a few of those organizations. |
